La Française takes over Forum Securities Limited

Paris based group La Française is to take a majority stake in the capital of Forum Securities Limited, part of Forum Partners.

Forum Partners will transfer an 80% interest in its wholly owned subsidiary, Forum Securities Limited, to La Française. The transfer, subject to regulatory approval, is expected to close in the first quarter of 2016.

Both firms partnered two years ago for the launch of the La Française Lux – Forum Global Real Estate Securities Fund

Established in 2009, Forum Securities is an SEC registered investment adviser managing private investment accounts for institutions and family offices, with an investment focus on long-only and hedged global real estate public securities strategies.

It has offices in Greenwich, CT (USA), Singapore and London.

The new integrated platform will be re-branded La Française Forum Securities and will allow Forum Securities enhanced back office and reporting capabilities as well as stronger business development and client relations support.

Through this deal, La Française seeks to continue expanding its international footprint with a presence in the US and Asian markets.

The firms will look together to broaden their offering to include: infrastructure/commodities, a Sharia compliant listed real estate investment fund, listed Green real estate funds, sector specific listed real estate funds and other customised strategies that meet investor demands.

The products will continue to be managed by the Forum Securities team which are to be strengthened.

Jana Sehnalova, portfolio manager at Forum Securities, will be the global head and managing director of La Française Forum Securities.

She will report to Pascale Auclair, global head of Investments of La Française Global Asset Management.

Based in Singapore, Sehnalova is a global portfolio manager with over 15 years of real estate and equities experience.

Formerly, she covered European, Australasian and emerging market real estate companies.

Before joining Forum Securities, she worked as a portfolio manager and an international analyst in the global real estate securities team at Citi Property Investors and prior to that at European Investors Inc.

Philippe Lecomte, CEO of La Française International said : “This is a win-win scenario. Forum Securities will gain full access to La Française resources and global fundraising capabilities.

“Investors will benefit from a broader real estate investments product line, and La Française will further expand its international development and footprint, by gaining solid exposure to the US and Singapore markets.

“Real estate, both listed and unlisted, is occupying an increasingly significant percentage of investor asset allocations.”
