LBBW appoints CIO capital markets

Landesbank Baden-Württemberg (LBBW) has appointed Frank Hagenstein as chief investment officer (CIO) capital markets, effective as from early September. He will be responsible for the development of investment strategies.

Hagenstein has more than 25 years of professional experience in the financial sector. Most recently, he was investment manager for Deka Investment from October 2012 until the end of 2016. He has worked for more than ten years with the fund manager of the savings banks. Prior to this, he worked for Union Investment, HSBC Trinkaus & Burkhardt in London, and then Dresdner Bank.

Christian Ricken, who is responsible for the capital market business on the LBBW board of management commented: “Frank Hagenstein will bring his experience in the development of portfolio management for LBBW.”
