Macquarie appoints head of Nordic Sales

Macquarie Investment Management, part of the asset management arm of Macquarie Group, has appointed David Derger as head of Nordic Sales.

Derger will focus on expanding Macquarie’s relationships in the region, introducing Nordic institutional and professional investors. He joins from HSBC Global Asset Management, where  he spent five years as a sales manager for the Nordic region. His regional experience also includes some five years as an investment consultant at Wassum.

Steve Haswell, head of Distribution for Macquarie Investment Management Emea, said: “David will be an excellent addition to our growing distribution team. His experience in both the consulting and asset management areas of the Nordic region will be extremely beneficial to MIM and to our Nordic clients.”
