Macquarie appoints head of Swiss distribution

Macquarie Investment Management, part of the asset management arm of Macquarie Group, has appointed Anna Bretschneider as head of Swiss Distribution.

In her new position, Bretschneider will be in charge of introducing the company to Swiss institutional investors.

Prior to joining Macquarie, she spent 14 years at MFS Investment Management where she built client relationships in Switzerland, Austria and Luxembourg.

Bretschneider started her career in 2000 at Generali.

Founded in 1969, Macquarie operates in 27 countries and employs over 13,500 people.

The group’s assets under management amounted to around £234bn (€302.3bn) at 30 September 2015.
