MoraBanc appoints general director for asset management

MoraBanc has appointed David Azcona Armiño as general director of Mora Asset Management.

Azcona is now the head of Morabanc’s asset management arm and the main coordinator of investment decisions, the bank confirmed to InvestmentEurope.

The move comes as MoraBanc stresses the need for a “quick response” in order to implement the bank’s strategic plan, the bank said.

Azcona joined MoraBanc in November 2014. Previously, he worked for Caja España Fondos, where he started as fund manager and was director of Investments from 2009 to 2014.

In addition to being a Chartered Financial Analyst, Azcona holds a master in Banking and Finance from Spain’s Escuela de Finanzas Aplicadas.
