Neptune appoints head of UK Sales
Neptune Investment Management (Neptune) announced the appointment of Daniel Lee as head of UK Sales. Lee’s appointment marks the first stage of the implementation of Neptune’s distribution plan, set out by Michael McLintock, who was hired as special adviser earlier this year.
Lee will report to founder and CEO of Neptune Investment Management Robin Geffen and work closely with Michael McLintock. He will join Neptune in September.
Robin Geffen, founder and CEO of Neptune Investment Management commented: “I am delighted that Lee has chosen Neptune for the next step in what has been an impressive career to date. Daniel has established himself as one of the leading sales people in the industry and has a deep knowledge of the market. This appointment, along with Michael McLintock, reaffirms our commitment to Neptune’s sales and distribution effort, as we move into a transformative phase for the industry as a whole. These senior hires are a key move for the company, enabling our clients to access the very strong performance we have to offer across our fund range, as we ensure the business is resourced and positioned for the future.”
Daniel Lee commented: “I am really excited to be joining Neptune in September, and look forward to working with Geffen, McLintock and the rest of the Neptune team to help the business build upon its existing success in the UK market. Neptune’s compelling range of high conviction funds, run by an impressive team of talented fund managers are ideally placed to thrive in a stock-pickers market. Thorough, real-world analysis of global sectors and superb macro-economic research provide the ideal platform for managing concentrated funds that I strongly believe will appeal to a broad range of investors over the years ahead.”
Daniel Lee was formerly head of UK Wholesale at Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management. Prior to this, he was sales director at Allianz Global Investors from December 2013 until September 2015, and head of UK Discretionary Sales at Cazenove Capital which was acquired by Schroders in July 2013.
The appointment of Lee to lead our key client relationships is in conjunction with LGBR’s appointment, last year, to broaden Neptune’s reach across the wider IFA community. We also continue to invest in our client investment strategy team to further enhance our service to clients.
