Comgest opens to US investors via SEC approval

Comgest, the independent asset manager headquartered in Paris, has obtained US Securities and Exchange Commission registration that will enable it to offer portfolio management services to US clients.

The change means that its existing Boston office, which currently does investment research, will become a hub for US investor relations activiteis. Two additional appointments have been made to support this development: James DuPont and Kevin Robertson are senior investor relatinos professionals. They join Peter Shapiro, a US equities analyst who transferred from the manager’s Paris office to Boston in 2015.

Arnaud Cosserat, CEO and CIO of Comgest, said the SEC registration would facilitate interaction with US-based long term investors with an interest in the type of quality growth investment style that Comgest pursues for its equity strategies covering global and emerging markets, Asia, Greater China, India, Japan, Latin America, Euope and the US.
