VAM has picked US boutique Driehaus Capital Management to manage its new Luxembourg domiciled Ucits IV VAM Frontier Markets Fund.

The fund looks to invest in companies domiciled or doing business in 33 countries classified by MSCI as frontier markets. The portfolio will typically hold 60-90 stocks to provide sufficient diversification of companies and countries.

Investors being targeted by the fund include discretionary fund managers, wealth managers, funds of funds, private banks, pension funds and family offices.  The fund will also bee available internationally via financial intermediaries and third party advisory firms.

Portfolio manager will be Chad Cleaver, who also co-manages the VAM Emerging Markets Growth Fund and is the lead portfolio manager of Driehaus’s emerging markets small cap growth strategy. VAM has worked with Driehaus for over a decade.
