US retail investors targeted by SLI deal with John Hancock

Standard Life Investments is launching a new global property fund, which it will make available to US retail investors through a deal with the John Hancock Investments platform.

The John Hancock Global Real Estate Fund will be managed by Andrew Jackson, head of Wholesale and Listed Real Estate and Svitlana Gubriy, portfolio manager at SLI. The fund will invest in property securities markets globally.

Colin Clark, Director, Global Client Group, SLI said: “The launch of the new real estate fund is a very positive development for Standard Life Investments and extends the range of assets classes we can make available to John Hancock’s retail investors in North America.”

The fund joins SLI’s Gars and Global Conservative Absolute Return funds, which have been available on the John Hancock platform since January 2012 and July 2013 respectively.
