Oddo Meriten names country head for Spain, Latin America
Oddo Meriten Asset Management has appointed Leonardo López as new country head for Spain and Latin America.
The appointment will consolidate the asset manager’s European expansion, Oddo Meriten said.
Before joining the asset manager, López worked as executive director at ETFs Source for Spain, Portugal and Andorra.
Previously, he was sales director at Threadneedle Investments and was in charge of funds distribution to clients in Spain and Latin America. He also worked at CM Capital Market and Banco Inversis.
Besides, he has a bachelor’s degree in law from Deusto University in Bilbao, a master’s degree in finance from CUNEF in Madrid and is member of the CAIA Association.
“Leonardo López expertise and in-depth knowledge of local market is a key strength for us as we continue to expand”, said Lorenzo Gazzoletti, deputy CEO at Oddo Meriten.
“This recruitment and the rolling out of our top strategies in Spain and Latin America, one of our main markets outside our domestic markets of France and Germany, demonstrate our commitment and determination to offer even better service to our clients, both new and existing ones,” Gazzoletti said.
Oddo Meriten group, resulting of the acquisition of the German asset manager Meriten by Oddo, manages €46bn in AUM and is specialized in European financial markets, covering the main asset classes.
