OMGI hires head of Distribution Benelux and France

Old Mutual Global Investors (OMGI) has appointed Eric Bateman as head of Distribution, Benelux and France.

Bateman is based in Edinburgh and reports to Allan MacLeod, head of International Distribution.

In his new position, he is in charge of growing OMGI’s presence in Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxemburg and France. OMGI specified he will work with a wide range of clients including wealth managers and global financial institutions.

Bateman joined OMGI from Kleinwort Benson Investors, where he worked as business development manager, Europe since January 2013. He was responsible for developing and executing the business’s European distribution strategy.

Formerly, Bateman worked in international distribution roles at Insynergy Investment Management and Martin Currie. He began his career in distribution at Templeton Investment Management in July 1993.

Old Mutual Global Investors’ assets under management were reaching £22.2bn (€30.2bn) as at end September 2015.
