Options, GoldenSource partner to launch platform for AM sector

Options, an IT services and infrastructure provider, and GoldenSource, provider of data management (EDM) solutions for bigger companies, have partnered to launch a platform that can host data management products and services for the asset management industry.

The platform will serve both traditional and alternative investment management and capital markets sectors. It is based on the IT products that GoldenSource already offers, but will run off Options’ application and hosting solution called Momentum. This is a global platform, which can host customer’s proprietary applications, and which can deliver IT across the front, middle and back office areas.

John Eley, GoldenSource CEO, said,: “This partnership enables us to extend the reach of our highly successful managed service, GoldenSource OnDemand. We support firms seeking new operating models to efficiently respond to the explosion in data volumes, quickly seize new business opportunities and meet their regulatory mandates.”

Nigel Kneafsey, Options founder and CEO, said: “This is a key strategic partnership for our Momentum business in that it further positions Options as the market leader in the management and hosting of business critical financial applications. It will uniquely complement our existing partnerships given the increased regulatory requirements on the financial community to employ an EDM solution. We are delighted to be working with the GoldenSource team and are excited to be bringing this joint offering to the marketplace.”
