Societe Generale Private Banking Suisse hires head of Russia and CIS
Societe Generale Private Banking Suisse (SGPB Suisse) has recently appointed André Mankowsky as head of its Russia and Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) desk in Zurich.
He reports to Julien Duniague, head of Commercial and Marketing at SGPB Suisse and is responsible for continuing to strengthen the private bank’s existing relationships with Russian and CIS clients based both in Switzerland and overseas.
He is also involved in developing services and products aimed specifically at this client segment, and will work closely with Societe Generale Private Banking’s Russian and CIS client teams based in Geneva, London and Monaco.
In addition, he becomes a member of the SGPB Suisse executive sales committee.
Prior to joining the firm, Mankowsky worked as managing director, market head for Russia & Eastern Europe at Deutsche Bank. Between 2006 and 2009, he was head of Eastern Europe and Russia Region with Credit Suisse Private Banking in Zurich and London.
From 2002, Mankowsky worked for the Guernsey branch of Banque Cantonale Vaudoise, in charge of treasury operations, structured products issues and corporate funding. Formerly, he held a number of positions in legal and compliance at different banks and law firms in Switzerland, London & Brussels.
Commenting on the appointment, Duniague said Mankowsky “will be a key part of our commitment to meeting the needs of our Russian and CIS clients, ensuring we provide them with the best financial advice available.”
