Schroders hires global equity fund manager

Schroders has appointed Frank Thormann as portfolio manager within the global equities team.

Thormann will report to Alex Tedder, head of Global Equities. He joins from Union Investment where as a global portfolio manager, he had overall portfolio management responsibility for the UniFavorit Concentrated Global Equity fund as from early 2010.

Prior to his tenure at Union Investment, he worked at American Century Investments as a multi-industry analyst for the American Century Ultra fund, as well as for the AC Select Equity fund.

Alex Tedder, Schroders’ head of Global Equities, commented: “Frank is a strong investor with a proven track record founded on an intimate knowledge of the US equity market, a significant constituent of our global equity portfolios. He is a genuine stock-picker with an investment approach that is entirely complementary to that of the team. He is a great addition to our existing capability.”

As at 30 June 2017, Schroders had €476.3bn of assets under management.
