Banco Mediolanum clients enabled to use post offices for banking operations
Banco Mediolanum has signed a collaboration agreement with the Spanish postal service Correos that will enable the bank’s clients to perform some banking operations through the offices of the national postal service.
Through the partnership, Banco Mediolanum clients will be able to deposit and withdraw cash in the 2,400 offices that Correos has across Spain, deposit checks, send money to a third party, to a third person who will pick it up at a post office, as well as to request money to your own address.
The first phase of the agreement – already implemented – enables Mediolanum clients to enter cash only with their banking account and their ID, while the second, – to start in March – will provide them access to all services managing them through the bank’s app.
Igor Garzesi, Banco Mediolanum managing director said: “The agreement with Correos is part of our commitment to continue offering innovative solutions to satisfy our clients’ needs. Through this partnership we increase the accessibility of our clients to certain banking services, something particularly relevant in a time when some banking offices from the smallest towns are shuting leaving their residents with difficult access to deposit and withdraw money.”
Mediolanum Group – with offices in Spain, Italy and Germany – has €73.60bn in assets under management as of the end of January 2018.
