Blackrock reshuffles Spanish team
US asset management group Blackrock is to reorganise its Iberia team with Armando Senra, country head of Iberia, relocating to New York.
Senra, who became head of BlackRock’s Latin America business in 2008, is to spearhead its focus on Latin America from the US. Senra was previously based in Spain.
Despite the New York transition he will remain country head of Blackrock’s Iberia business. This is the first time a Blackrock employee has occupied this role.
In his absence Iván Pascual and Caridad Merlin will take over the day to day activities of the Iberia business. Pascual will supervise the sales team with the help of Merlin. Both will report to Senra.
Blackrock currently has $3.5 trillion of assets under management. Its Iberia business runs an estimated €5.1bn, according to Spanish news service Funds People.
