Carmignac makes Spanish push

Carmignac has appointed Ramón Carrasco as its business development director for Spain.

Carrasco joins Carmignac sales team in Madrid providing support to the firm’s distribution team in Spain while bolstering the French firm’s business in the Iberian country. He will report to Carmignac Spain general director Ignacio Lana.

Carrasco joins Carmignac from Bankinter, where he worked as financial analyst, senior adviser, and responsible for commodities since 2014. Prior to that, he worked as an accountant manager at Andbank in Luxembourg and as a senior portfolio manager in BNP Paribas Wealth Management.

Carmignac Spain general director Ignacio Lana said: “Carrasco’s long and wide experience as well as his deep knowledge of the sector will contribute to the consolidation of Carmignac in Spain. His appointment proves the firm’s long-term commitment with its clients in Spain”.
