Credit Suisse poaches ex-Banco Popular PB investment director as PM director

Credit Suisse Gestión has appointed Daniel Vaquero as portfolio management director of the firm’s Spanish division led by Javier Alonso.

Vaquero joins Credit Suisse from the the private banking’s manager of Banco Popular, where he worked for seven years and a half, first in charge of equity and most recently as the manager’s investments director.

Prior to his tenure at Popular Banca Privada, Vaquero worked at Caser where during five years and a half he was responsible for its equity team.

Vaquero formerly worked at Morgan Stanley and AB Asesores, for nearly six and three years respectively, as an equity specialist starting his career in 1997 based in Madrid.

Credit Suisse Gestión manages some €1.67bn in assets of Sicavs and has €1.6bn of AUM from Spanish investment funds.
