Deutsche Bank hires ex-Credit Suisse veteran as Spain WM deputy head

Deutsche Bank has appointed Nicolás Cotoner as deputy head of its wealth management division in Spain.

Cotoner, who will report to Borja Martos recently named head of Deutsche Bank WM in Spain, will be responsible for implementing the business strategy to expand its presence in Spain.

With some 20 years´experience, Cotoner (pictured) joins Deutsche Bank from Credit Suisse, where he worked for 15 years, alongside Martos for certain period and holding latest the post of team director. There, he also worked as senior private banker in charge of UHNWI clients. Prior to that, Cotoner worked as financial adviser for institutional and UHNWI clients at former Prudential Bache.

Borja Martos, head of Deutsche Bank Wealth Management Spain, said: “I am glad to welcome Cotoner to our team as I consider he brings the experience, the talent and the leadership needed to significantly contribute to our business growth and consolidation in Spain.”
