Franklin Templeton Investments names Iberia head

Franklin Templeton Investments has appointed Javier Villegas as the new Iberia head following Ramón Pereira’s departure.

Pereira will officially leave his role on the 30 of September after 20 years leading the firm’s business development in Spain, Portugal and Andorra.

Villegas will take on his new role from Franklin Templeton in Miami, where during the past five years he worked as director of the Global Financial Institutions and Consultancy. Prior to that, he was working at the same office he is now returning for eight years.

Before joining Franklin Templeton, Villegas worked at Santander Private Banking and A&G Private Banking in Madrid.
