GVC Gaesco appoints Asian specialist for global institutional sales push

GVC Gaesco has hired Santiago Vázquez as head of international institutional sales in a move aimed at expanding the business globally with a focus on Europe and Asia.

Vázquez, who has over a decade of experience in the industry, has worked for the past six years as associate director and responsible for the business expansion in Europe of Oceanwide Asset Management (Quam), based in Hong-kong.

Jaime Puig, GVC Gaesco Gestión CEO and CIO, said: “Vázquez’s broad knowledge of the most relevant international hubs will help us to expand our business in those markets we haven’t explored that much yet, while it will bolster our internal structure.”

GVC Gaesco, with over 60 years’ experience, has around €1bn in assets under management and manages three funds in Luxembourg, a figure it aims to increase.
