Inversis Gestión launches behavioural small cap equity fund

Spanish manager Inversis Gestión has launched a small cap equity strategy, the Maverick fund.

The fund aims to outperform its benchmark, the MSCI Europe Small Cap EUR NR, targeting an annual volatility below 25%.

The Maverick fund will apply behavioural finance principles and focus on value investing and momentum.

It will invest directly or indirectly through investment funds (10%) in small cap equities, with a minimal exposure of 75% to companies with market cap below €8m.

At least 60% of the fund will be exposed to companies based in the eurozone but investments in equities from other areas such as emerging markets (10%) can be made.

Lastly, the Maverick fund will invest in bonds with maturity comprised between 0 and 18 months, to a maximum of 30%.
