Mirabaud opens an office in Valencia, Spain
Geneva-based wealth manager Mirabaud is opening an office in Valencia, Spain, an addition to existing offices in Madrid and Barcelona.
The Mirabaud Group’s interest in Spain has sharpened since its recent hire of Francisco Gómez-Trenor García del Moral as CEO of wealth and asset management.
Four of his team — Javier Lucas Pérez, Mirabaud’s Commercial Director, Luis Fernando Capilla Dejoz, Valencia Director, Jose González Cabrera, Assistant Director, and Sonia Yllera Calatayud, Commercial Support, will be based in Valencia.
Antonio Palma, Mirabaud CEO and partner, commented: “In 2010, when Mirabaud launched its operations in Spain, we identified the expansion of our wealth management services as a priority objective.
“The opening of the Valencia office is a critical step in achieving this and follows other important decisions previously taken along the same lines, such as reinforcing the wealth management teams in Madrid and Barcelona and the investment management team in Madrid, and setting up a special division to offer these services to artists and sports people.
“Valencia represents a decisive and emphatic position, and we are sure it will be appreciated by our clients in the Levante and the rest of Spain.”
Gómez-Trenor said the firm viewed wealth management as an all-encompassing focus on clients — not just sustainable long-term profitability but tax optimisation, legal advice and strategic design of the overall portfolio.
Within the group, which has operations on four continents, Spain and Switzerland are the only two countries with more than one office.
The Valencia office is located at 19 Calle de Pascual y Genís, the site of the old Valencia bourse.
