Rodriguez appointed as head of Spain’s CNMV

Elvira Rodriguez has been appointed head of Spain’s Comisión Nacional del Mercado de Valores (CNMV), the country’s stock exchange regulator.

She replaces Julio Seguro, who is due to retire. Rodriguez is also a member of Parliament for the ruling conservative People’s Party.

Lourdes Centeno will be deputy head of the authority.
