Spanish manager Abante to move headquarters in Q1 2018

Spanish asset manager Abante Asesores has announced it will move its headquarters to number 6 Plaza de la Independencia in Madrid during the first quarter of 2018.

The move will not take place immediately as a refurbishment of the building is being carried out. Once completed, architects from real estate consultancy Aguirre and Newman (the adviser of the operation) will carry out the interior design project.

Abante will occupy a surface of 4,000 square metres within the building – owned by Mapfre-  and its offices will be spreading over five floors.

However, Abante will keep its office based in number 32 calle Padilla, which had been its previous headquarters since 2002.

Santiago Satrústegui, chairman of Abante, said: “We cannot think in a better place to be the venue for our headquarters than 6 Plaza de la Independencia in order to face the challenges we have ahead. Every single move and expansion we have carried out since the company’s inception in 2001, has made a significant contribution thanks always, to the growing number of investors who keep depositing their confidence in us.”

Abante has over €2.6bn of assets under management.
