Swiss Life names CIO for Third-Party AM
Swiss Life Asset Managers has appointed José Antonio Blanco as head of Investment Management for Third-Party Asset Management, effective from 1 June.
In his role, Blanco will be responsible – alongside his Switzerland and France’s teams for defining and implementing the investment strategy in the Multi Asset, Fixed Income and Equity areas for cross-border third-party asset management business.
Reporting to CEO Third-Party Asset Management Michael Klose, Blanco will be managing the investment and risk management processes, the tactical and strategic implementation in fund and mandate solutions and product development.
Blanco joins Swiss Life Asset Managers from the international wealth management division of Credit Suisse, where he worked for the past four years. Prior to that, he was responsible for the investment business of UBS Global Asset Management for over ten years as Regional Chief Investment Officer, EMEA. He started his career as a quantitative analyst at the former Union Bank of Switzerland.
