Spain’s Santander increases commitment to mixed funds

Spain’s Banco Santander will commercialize two new ranges of mixed funds from 13 June.

The ranges Santander Evolucion and Santander Generacion will consist of a series of profiled products for direct investment, aimed to Spanish investors.

Santander Evolucion, a pioneer range in Spain, consists of three mixed funds that increase exposure to equities gradually, easing market fluctuations.

Santander Evolution 20 will increase exposure to equities by 2% every two months, to reach 20% in equities and 80% in fixed income.

Santander Evolution 40 will increase exposure to equities by 4% every two months, up to 40% in equities and 60% in fixed income.

Santander Evolution 60 will increase exposure to equities by 6% every two months, to reach 60% in equities and 40% in fixed income.

Santander Generacion range, for its part, is composed of three mixed funds that differ from each other by the percentage of investment in equities.

Santander Generacion 1 will invest 85% in fixed income and 15% in equities.

Santander Generacion 2 will have a 70% exposure to fixed income and 30% exposure to equities.

Santander Generacion 3 will invest 40% in fixed income and 60% in equities.

Both ranges allow clients to access investment solutions with different risk levels to obtain higher profitability in the current economic environment with low interest rates, Santander said.
