Artisan Partners, the $109bn (€95bn)AUM US manager, has announced that Marc Peterzens has joined its EMEA Distribution Team as a director, based in London, to support business development in the Nordic and Benelux regions.

Peterzens previously headed institutional business in the Nordics, Benelux and Middle East for Henderson Global Investors, and before that was head of the Nordic region at SSgA.

At Artisan, he will join Pearse Monaghan, who previously joined the EMEA Distribution Team in May 2017 as director for the UK and Ireland.

Figures from the firm indicate that 19% of its $109bn AUM came from ex-US clients as of the end of May this year, including $3.7bn (€3.23bn) from its Ireland-based Ucits offering.

Artisan Partners’ European business development plans were outlined in Issue 68 of the InvestmentEurope magazine, in which CEO Eric Colson explained that the business seeks to continuously add and nurture investment talent on the basis that assets will always seek out talent.
