Aviva Investors hires Nordics institutional chief

Aviva Investors has appointed Peik Wardi as head of Nordics Institutional Client Solutions.

Peik, who is based in Stockholm, reports to Remi Casals, Head of European Institutional Client Solutions.

He will be responsible for developing the firm’s business and managing its institutional clients portfolio in the region, working closely with Christian Nilsson, senior client solutions director – Nordics.

Peik joins from Aktia Asset Management, where he served as head of Institutional Sales for eight years. Previously, he held senior client-focused roles at Kaupthing Bank and State Street Global Advisors.

Casals, head of European Institutional Client Solutions, said: “Peik brings a wealth of experience from sales to client management and strategic planning. These qualities will be beneficial as we continue to work with our clients to help them achieve their investment objectives, while expanding our European institutional distribution footprint.”

Aviva Investors had assets under management of £351bn (€383.5bn) as at 30 June 2017.
