Dan Beharall of Ignis Asset Management to speak at Stockholm Forum
Dan Beharall, head of Emerging Market Debt at Ignis Asset Management, will be taking part in the InvestmentEurope Fund Selector Forum Sweden in Stockholm on 25 September.
Beharall (pictured) takes the view that Alpha not Beta is driving opportunities in emerging market debt, which he feels has matured as an asset class – to the point where a multi-layered approach targeting uncorrelated sources of Alpha can deliver strong risk-adjusted returns in all market conditions.
In what is described as a relatively underplayed market for absolute returns, Beharall sees benefits to investors applying active trading strategies while controling volatility and downside risk.
Beharall joined Ignis in December 2010 from Henderson Investors, where he spent 15 years, becoming head of Emerging Market Debt in 1998. Previously, he was a derivatives analyst at Bankers Trust International.
