Danske Capital, eQ Group change local fund names

Danske Capital AB is changing the names of two of its funds for the Swedish market.

As from today the Danske Invest Försiktig fund will be called the Danske Invest Horisont Försiktig.

The Danske Invest Balanserad will become the Danske Invest Horisont Balanserad. Both name changes were announced by the Swedish Pensions Agency.

In Finland, shares in the Finnreit Care fund will now be known as shares in eQ Care, according to data published by Investment Research Finland and the Federation of Finnish Financial Services.

The change was flagged in September, when eQ Asset Management and Finnreit Fund Management Company jointly announced a deal to launch a new non-Ucits fund investing in healthcare properties. The Finnish and Swedish names for the new shares will respectively be eQ Hoivakiinteistöt and eQ Vårdfastigheter.

Janne Larma, CEO of eQ Plc said then that: “eQ Care fund complements eQ’s current fund offering and the fund will correspond to increasing market demand on high quality care properties. The fund is expected to provide attractive return as the fund is entitled to use moderate leverage in its investments and as the rental agreements in care sector are long. The fund is well suited for private and institutional investors.”

The eQ Group specialises in asset management and corporate finance in the Finnish market. It offers mutual funds, private equity funds and hedge funds, with total assets under management of about €3.5bn.
