Equity pushes Swedish net fund flows in July
Equity funds attracted about SEK5bn out of the nearly SEK8bn (€0.92bn) net inflows to funds in Sweden during July, according to figures published by the Swedish Investment Fund Association (Fondbolagens förening).
The latest monthly net flow added to the value of total assets under management, which hit a new high of SEK2.299trn (€265bn)
Balanced and bond funds also saw net inflows, although money market funds saw net redemptions, the Association reported.
So far this year some SEK55.9bn (€6.5) has flowed into funds on a net basis, the Association added.
Pia Nilsson, CEO, noted that while active investors have been keen to take advantage of a general upturn in stock markets, the level of interest in emerging markets remains relatively low, although “it will be interesting to see what happens in these markets going forward.”
The local stock market in Stockholm gained some 7% over the month.
