Handelsbanken opens office in Brazil
Sweden’s Handelsbanken is opening an office in São Paulo, Brazil, taking its worldwide network of offices to 24, which it claims is more than any other Nordic bank.
Carl-Gustav Moberg, head of Handelsbanken’s representative office in São Paulo, said: “Brazil has become a larger and increasingly important market for many of our corporate customers. This is why we are establishing a presence there, so that we can assist our customers locally.”
Handelsbanken, which counts the UK as one of its ‘home’ markets along with the Nordics, recently opened an office in Australia, and said it was the first Nordic bank in both India and China.
