HealthInvest joins Swedish Investment Fund Association
HealthInvest, the Swedish manager specialising in healthcare companies with sales in Asian, as well as micro-, small- and mid-cap healthcare companies, has joined the Swedish Investment Fund Association as a member.
HealthInvest Partners is an independent Swedish fund management company under the supervision of the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority (Finansinspektionen) since 2006.
Its Asia, MicroCap and Value funds are run by Anders Hallberg, CEO and board member, and Markus Wistrand, financial analyst.
Hallberg is an alumni of the Carnegie Global Healthcare fund, where he worked as an analyst then manager of the portfolio between 2003-6. Carnegie’s fund has returned more than 987% since launch in 1998 versus a return of some 315% from the benchmark Russell 2000 Healthcare index.
HealthInvest’s Value fund SEK denominated class A shares have provided a net return of 223% since the start of 2009, according to data provided by the manager. The fund invests globally in small- and mid-cap healthcare companies.
