Johan Sidenmark new CEO at Sweden’s AMF
Swedish life company AMF has appointed Nordea Life Holding chief executive Johan Sidenmark to be its own new CEO, starting 1 August 2012.
Currently responsible for Nordea Life’s business in 10 markets, he has been involved in asset management and advice at the company since 2002. Previously he has held positions with Mercer, Watson Wyatt and ProSecur.
AMF is primarily known for its pensions business, with some SEK372bn (€42bn) under management on behalf of some 3.7 million long term savers. As such it is one of the biggest owners on the Stockholm stock market. The company is structured as a mutual, which means any profits belong to its members, who are the savers.
