Mercer buys Norwegian consultant Pensjon & Finans
Global investment and pension consultant Mercer is acquiring Pensjon & Finans, a Norwegian investment and pension consulting business that operates in both the public and private sectors.
The deal gives clients of the Norwegian firm – which has five employees – access to Mercer’s global network of services. For Mercer the deal brings closer access to the Norwegian institutional market in particular, where demand is predicted to grow for specialist advice.
Espen Kløw, CEO of Pensjon & Finans, will take up the role as head of Mercer Investment Consulting in Norway. Caspar Holter, founder of Pensjon & Finans, will continue to serve existing clients.
Kløw said: “We believe our clients will realise that we can provide enhanced support and solutions because of the experience, resources and global reach that result from this combination. It will result in a substantial increase in manager research and due diligence capabilities, including implemented consulting expertise. Our client commitment and insights will be supplemented by the global reach, professionalism and resources of Mercer. Both Mercer and Pensjon & Finans have similar values and share a commitment to excellence and to the Norwegian market.”
No terms of the acquisition have been published.
