Monyx boosts sales efforts
Monyx Financial Group, the wholly owned Swedish subsidiary of NewCap Holding, the Danish company listed on Nasdaq OMX in Copenhagen, has appointed Gunnar Hjertström to develop its own wholly- and part-owned subsidiaries – suggesting it is set to give AlphaCore Fonder and other businesses a sales boost.
Hjertström – whose title roughly translates as head of subsidiary company business – previously worked at Contento Wassum Academy in business development and education. He has some 20 years of experience at organisations such as Skandia, SalusAnsvar and SEB.
He also has previous experience at the Monyx group of businesses, as he was chief executive of Nordic Brokers Association AB (Hjerta) in 2008-9.
Hjertström (pictured) said that the appointment came at a time when the industry is set to meet rising demand for advice, driven by face-to-face meetings and efficiencies helped by different digital media.
This is the second key announcement in a week from Monyx, which earlier launched a new joint venture asset management firm into the Swedish market – AlphaCore Fonder.
According to Mikael Kadri, chief executive of AlphaCore, the business focus will initially be on the Swedish funds market, particularly institutional investors. More detailed information about the development of this new business is expected by the autumn.
