Morningstar, Dagens Industri name top Swedish managers

Fund data and ratings provider Morningstar and local business daily Dagens Industri have jointly announced their 13th annual awards to highlight the best local fund managers in Sweden.

The awards are widely reported and referenced in the local market, where the ratio of the adult population invested in funds is estimated at about 80%, according to the Swedish Investment Fund Association’s figures  – which increase to 100% when taking into account pension savings and savings on behalf of children.

A total of 19 winners were highlighted in this year’s awards, across five fund categories.

One of the categories remained from last year: Sweden, large companies.

Three categories returned to the list having previously been replaced by others: Sweden, SME, Global and Europe.

The category of Corporate bond funds made the list for the first time.
