Net fund sales continued through April in Sweden
Data from the Swedish Investment Fund Association points to continued demand from investors for most types of funds, as total net sales for the month of April hit SEK10.7bn (€1.24bn)
Balanced funds accounted for half the total net figure, or some SEK5bn. Money market funds also had a good month, drawing in a net SEK3.2bn. Equity funds saw net sales of SEK2.1bn.
Bond funds were slightly weaker, attracting SEK0.8bn, while hedge funds saw net redemptions of SEK-0.4bn.
Over the year to date, net sales have hit SEK31.7bn, the Association said, and overall the industry AUM hit another all time high of SEK2.24trn (€261.6bn).
There are some difference hidden in the averages reported, particularly for equity funds. Sweden funds still make up the biggest sector, but Global funds added another SEK1.7bn in net sales through the month, taking the sector total assets to over SEK332.4bn.
Total equity fund assets at the end of April were SEK1.22trn.
