New chief executive appointed to Handelsbanken Liv

Louise Sander has been appointed chief executive of Handelsbanken Liv in Sweden.

Sander previously was chief executive of Skandia Försäljning AB, and has long experience of the life insurance sector.

She will take up her role on 16 September.

Katja Bergqvist, head of Savings and Asset Management within Handelsbanken Capital Markets, said: “Heading up Handelsbanken Liv is a very important role, since its operations affect almost all our customers. Handelsbanken Liv has also had the most satisfied customers for five successive years – and we have every chance of reinforcing this trend.”

At year-end 2012, Handelsbanken Liv had assets under management of SEK75bn, of which SEK64bn was invested in unit-linked and portfolio bond insurance.
