New chief executive at Didner & Gerge Fonder
Helena Hillström has been appointed chief executive at Swedish boutique Didner & Gerge Fonder.
Hillström has worked at the company since 1997, and most recently was responsible for administration as well as being compliance officer.
“We are very pleased that Helena has stepped into the role as chief executive at the fund company,” said departing CEO Adam Gerge, who now takes on the role of deputy CEO in the company.
“She knows both the company and the fund market very well after many years with us, and has over time taken on more responsibilities. Helena fills an important role ahead, including developing our marketing communication and increasing accessibility for our customers via different distributors and other channels.”
Hillström said: “I am very pleased to have been given this trust. Didner & Gerge Fonder has through an active and sustainable management delivered good long term results. I will work to clarify these results and continue to develop the company, not least in the area of service and accessibility for our customers.”
Didner & Gerge is best known for its equity focus. Its Equity fund averages annual return of 9.51% in the 10 years to 2010. Its Smaller Companies fund averaged 61.5% return in its first two years to 2010. Its Global fund is up about 4% since launch in September 2011.
