Norwegian funds AUM passes NOK600bn for first time
Assets managed by members of the Norwegian Fund and Asset Management Association passed NOK600bn (€80bn) for the first time, as net investments of NOK8bn (€1.1bn) were made in February, the Association reports.
Of the NOK8bn, some NOK5.7bn went into fixed income funds, and NOK2.6bn into equity and balanced funds.
Norwegian institutional investors stood for the bulk of the net investments, some NOK6.3bn.
Norwegian retail investors put NOK600m into fixed income funds, and NOK500m into equity and balanced funds.
So far this year net sales of NOK29bn (€3.8bn) have been made across all types of securities funds, the Association said, compared with net sales of NOK42bn through the whole of 2012.
Currently, retail investors in Norway account for NOK123bn of AUM in equity and balanced funds.
