Polaris Private Equity pushes year-end promotions

Swedish-Danish investor Polaris Private Equity has announced four end-of-year promotions of existing internal staff.

Polaris said that it promoted Peter Maigaard (pictured), Rune Gornitzka and Martin Bang‐Löwgren to the position of director.

Simon Wille has been promoted to investment manager.

Jan Johan Kühl, managing partner at Polaris said: “These promotions are part of Polaris’ continuing development as a leading Danish/Swedish  mid-market private equity investor, and reflect the increasing seniority and experience in our team. Each of the four individuals have demonstrated strong performance and enormous commitment during their time at Polaris and I am delighted that they will continue to play a key role in our firm’s ongoing success over the coming years.”

Maigaard joined the company in 2000 from Tarconord. Gornitzka joined in 2005, having previously worked at Capitellum Corporate Finance and telco TDC. Bang‐Löwgren joined in 2009 from Boston Consulting Group, while Wille was previously at AP Møller Mærsk.
