SBAB Bank launches three mixed asset funds in Sweden

SBAB Bank, best known for its activities in the mortgage market, is to launch three funds for Swedish retail investors managed by Öhman Fonder.

Sparfond Kort, Sparfond Medel och Sparfond Lång have been designed to match investors’ attitude to risk over different time horizons – of three, five and seven years respectively. The three portfolios will each invest across multiple asset classes, including equities, bonds, commodities, property and hedge funds. Investors focused on longer time horizons will have more exposure to equities.

SBAB Bank will sell the funds online and by phone to keep costs down. It said the annual management charge will be 0.9%. The funds are awaiting final authorisation by local regulator the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority (Finansinspektionen) before they can go on sale later this year, sometime in Q3 or Q4.
