Skagen appoints new portfolio manager

Skagen has announced the appointment of Hilde Jenssen as a new portfolio manager in the Skagen Kon-Tiki team from 1 October 2013.

Jenssen (pictured) has almost two decades of capital markets experience. She joins Skagen from Skyview Investment Advisors in the US, where she has been a partner and portfolio manager since 2009. Prior to Skyview, she worked at Riverview Alternative Investment Advisors and Pomegranate Capital. She has also worked at Goldman Sachs and Credit Suisse First Boston.

Jenssen is from the Stavanger area and holds a BA in Economics and Political Science from Fordham University and an MBA in Finance from Columbia Business School, where she taught classes in Capital Markets and Derivatives.

Kristoffer Stensrud, lead portfolio manager of Skagen Kon-Tiki, commented: “We are very pleased to have Hilde Jenssen join us. She brings to Skagen wide-ranging experience of international equity investment and portfolio management.”

In addition to Kristoffer Stensrud, Skagen Kon-Tiki is managed by Knut Harald Nilsson, Cathrine Gether and Erik Landgraff.
