Spiltan wins double in Swedish funds awards
Spiltan Fonder has been awarded the prize for best fund company and best Sweden fund manager by the Nordic region’s biggest private finance magazine Privata Affärer.
Spiltan is an independent manager with about SEK2.5bn under management in six funds. Its funds are accessed via direct sales, fund platforms and the Swedish PPM system for retirement savings.
Other winners included:
– Gladiator in the category ‘best hedge fund’
– Morgan Stanley Global Brands in the category ‘global funds’
– Nordea Obligationsfond, a bond fund, as best newcomer
– Avanza Zero as the ‘readers’ favourite’, which made it the first passive fund to be nominated as one of the best Sweden funds.
The funds are judged according to risk and return through 2011 and over three years. The nominated funds must not have changed manager over the three year period, they must be available on at least one fund supermarket, and be traded daily. Separate rules apply to hedge funds.
