Swedbank platform develops mobile access to funds
Swedbank and Sparbanken 1826 have rolled out an updated version of their mobile services platform, which will improve access to funds and fund transactions for Swedish customers.
Users can now obtain an oversight of their fund holdings, buy and sell funds, open fund accounts and set up regular savings, said Ola Danielsson, responsible for digital services at Sparbanken 1826 – Sweden’s oldest savings bank, and part of the organsiation that links together regional savings banks and Swedbank.
The focus on funds and savings in the latest platform update sits with the historical objectives of the savings bank sectors in the country to promote savings and investments among customers. Digital services is the fastest growing area of the banking market, according to Danielsson. His bank has doubled its mobile customers over the past year, including some 35,000 iPad users.
Swedbank and Sparbanken 1826 will continue to develop the mobile platform offering, he added.
