Sweden’s AMF Fonder recruits Tomas Risbecker
AMF Fonder, the wholly owned fund management subsidiary of Sweden’s AMF, has recruited Tomas Risbecker to succeed John Hernander in running its SEK20bn (€2.2bn) Sweden equity fund.
Risbecker previously managed Sweden funds at Handelsbanken. Other roles have included running his own fund management company WR Capital, and working at Swedbank. He will start his new role at the end of August.
AMF Fonder was established in 1999 and today has some SEK75bn (€8.5bn) in assets under management, making it Sweden’s fifth biggest domestic fund provider, with a range of 12 funds.
The funds are open to long term savers as well as investors with shorter time horisons.
Parent AMF is a mutual life company offering pensions solutions to the Swedish market. It claims assets of some SEK426bn (€48.5bn) in equities, property and fixed income, on behalf of some 3.8 million long term savers
