Sweden’s Anders Borg cautious on economic outlook
Swedish minister of Finance Anders Borg has painted a picture of possible ongoing weakness in the Swedish and global economies.
Borg said that while a fully developed view would not be put forward by the Swedish government until it develops its proposed Budget in the autumn, it still looked as if the global – and therefore Swedish – economies could be hit by weaker growth in China as well as less than hoped for recovery in Continental Europe earlier in 2013.
With a relatively small and open economy, Sweden would be hit by any global weaknesses, he said.
