Swedish fund industry sees new AUM peak in May

Total net assets of the Swedish fund industry hit another new high in May at SEK2.712trn (€299bn), as net sales of SEK13.3bn took year to date net sales to SEK69.1bn (€7.6bn).

The largest net inflows in May went to balanced funds, bond funds and equity funds, reported the Swedish Investment Fund Association.

Balanced fund net inflows were SEK5.4bn, while for equity funds they hit SEK4.2bn.

Bond funds saw net inflows of SEK4.8bn, of which SEK2.1bn was for corporate bond funds. Hedge funds saw net deposits of SEK0.9bn, the Association reports.

However, money market funds saw net outflows of SEK1.9bn.

Of the total net inflows year to date of SEK69.1bn, some SEK33bn have been invested in bond funds.
